Tricia Knight is a self-taught artist in Mount Pleasant, SC. Her signature, “Barton” is a reflection of her maiden name and a calling from a young age.

“I always sign my art with my maiden name, BARtON, in all caps with the exception of the ‘t’ - this is a reminder to myself to keep God at the center of my work. I never went to formal art school and it’s my belief that my talents and calling to be an artist are God-given and I always want my work to reflect that.”

Tricia specializes in acrylic painting, but also completes work in watercolor, pencil, graphite, charcoal and enjoys exploring new mediums. As a commission artist, Tricia is constantly stretching her expertise and trying new techniques.

When she isn’t painting, you can usually find her mothering her three sons alongside her husband of nearly ten years. In 2020, Tricia gave birth to her second child and completed her coursework to become a certified birth doula. Throughout the year you can find her assisting moms in their journey to motherhood, throughout labor and beyond.
